How to post your passport safely to NomadNest in Chiang Mai for a DTV extension or other service, with our full mailing address in English and Thai.

When you need to post your passport

Some of our services can be handled without visiting our office. The most common is the DTV extension, where you mail your passport to us and we mail it back once the extension is done. Some education visa steps also involve posting your passport to Chiang Mai.

Only send your passport after we have confirmed your case. Check with us first so it does not sit waiting.

Our mailing address

You can use either version. The Thai version is easiest for Thai couriers.

Add your own name and phone number as the sender so the courier can reach you.

How to post it safely

  1. Use a tracked service. Thailand Post EMS or a reputable courier with tracking.
  2. Protect the passport. Put it in a sealed plastic sleeve inside a padded or stiff envelope.
  3. Include a note with your name, phone number, the service you booked and your return address.
  4. Keep a copy of your passport photo page and latest stamp for yourself.

After you post it

Take a photo of the tracking number or the postal receipt and send it to us on WhatsApp, LINE, Messenger or WeChat, whichever you use to talk to us. We track the package and confirm when it arrives.

While we have your passport

You will be without your passport for a few days. Plan around that:

  • Do not book travel out of Thailand during this time.
  • Keep a copy of your passport with you.
  • If a hotel or bank asks for your passport, show the copy and explain.

Getting it back

When the service is complete, we post your passport back to the address you gave us and send you the return tracking number. If you would rather collect it in person, our office on Huai Kaew Road is open Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:30.

For services where we collect documents from you in Chiang Mai instead, see our 90-day report and TM30 service.
