Python Backend Developer Intern

We are looking for a motivated Python Backend Developer Intern to join our development team. It is a good opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain hands-on backend experience on real projects in a collaborative team.

Requirements

• A strong interest in programming and backend development.
• Basic understanding of Python syntax (or another programming language) and core programming concepts.
• Willingness to learn and explore new technologies.
• Good problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Currently studying software engineering, computer science or a related field.

What you will learn

• Building backend APIs and services in Python.
• Working with frameworks such as Django, Flask or FastAPI.
• Collaborating with frontend developers, product managers and testers on real projects.
• Database basics (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and others).
• Using Git and working in a team development workflow.
• Software architecture and design patterns.
• Testing methods and debugging techniques.
• API documentation and version-control good practice.

Preferred qualifications

• Previous experience with any programming language (Python, Java, JavaScript or similar).
• Basic knowledge of web concepts (HTTP, REST APIs).
• Familiarity with Git.
• Understanding of database concepts.
• Experience with the Linux/Unix command line.
• A strong analytical, problem-solving mindset.

Your mentor

You will be mentored by our senior backend architect, who has more than 10 years of backend development experience and has led teams designing and running websites with tens of millions of users. Their background includes:

• Senior system architecture engineer with extensive enterprise experience.
• Alibaba Cloud certified cloud computing engineer.
• AWS certified cloud computing engineer.
• Hands-on experience building server infrastructure from scratch.
• Deploying and running backend services that handle very high concurrent load.

Working with them, you will see enterprise architecture decisions, scalability problems and industry practice that usually take years to meet in a traditional role.

Job details

• Position type: internship, 3–6 months
• Stipend: 10,000–12,000 baht per month
• Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand (hybrid work available)
• Working hours: 40 hours per week
